I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in California. I specialize in helping individuals overcome anxiety, loss, and trauma. My work empowers individuals to overcome emotional barriers that are impacting their ability to create a meaningful and fulfilling life, both personally and professionally.
My work is rooted in culturally-affirming and trauma-informed care. I work with individual of all ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. I help individuals cultivate psychological flexibility by helping them pursue the things that are important to them, create space from difficult thoughts/emotions, and stay grounded in the present moment.
I earned my PhD in 2018 in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, with concentrations in general mental health, PTSD, and substance use disorders. I maintain a private practice and am the founder of Elevar Project, an online learning platform dedicated to supporting mental health providers in delivering therapy in Spanish. I also serve as a clinical psychologist at a Federally Qualified Health Center, where I provide behavioral health services to low-income and underserved communities and supervise doctoral students in clinical psychology.
